Starting with Blackrock Caverns, the first dungeon most of us will enter on a fresh character. Entrance is located in Blackrock Mountain and if there's a problem finding it, consult youtube.
First boss: Rom'ogg Bonecrusher
Tank and spank, when he binds you with Chains of Woe, dps the chains (they're like an add on the ground) and when you're loose, get at least 15 yards away from him or he'll aoe you.
Second boss: Corla, Herald of Twilight
Complicated boss. Tank and meleé just fight as normal, but there is one add on each side. Each add will be powered by a laser. Healer/ranged have to stand in front of the adds so they don't get hit by the laser, and move out of the laser before it reaches 100 stacks. Wait for the debuff to fall off and stand in front of the add again. Don't let the add reach 100 stacks. At 100 stacks on either you or an add you will most likely wipe.
Third boss: Karsh Steelbender
Tank needs to drag the boss through the fire in the middle to melt his armor so he can take damage. He will get a buff to his damage each second in the fire, so don't let him be there for long. Adds spawn if the buff falls off (and armor resets).
Fourth boss: Beauty
Remember him from UBRS? Tank and spank. Occasional aoe fear.
Fifth boss: Ascendant Lord Obsidius
Starts with some adds that have a huge MS effect on the tank. Adds will need to be CC'd or kited away from the tank and boss nuked. Boss sometimes swaps places with an add.

Cataclysm launch and dungeons
Hey, right after I started writing cataclysm launched, and needless to say I've been playing pretty much non-stop ever since.I reached 85 by the third day or so on my warrior and been running dungeons between leveling blacksmithing and trying out some alts. Got 5 or 6 pieces from heroics already so I'm fairly well geared at the moment. Feels nice to not be way behind the raiding guys in gear for once :)
The problem I find with trying new dungeons is how immensely hard it is to read up on them or watch videos. After running them a couple of times I'm able to summarize the strategies in one or two lines for each boss. Every strategy guide and video always insists on listing every single ability the boss has. Unavoidable AoE damage and mortal strike effects do NOT require mentioning, the healer will heal if the healthbar isn't full, and there's a lot of stuff that not everyone has to know. Just before running a dungeon I just want a really quick strategy and I might add to my knowledge bank later on.
As a tank and usually dungeon guide I'm usually the one to tell the tactics before bosses if someone doesn't know them, and I think I'll just type them out right here to have them all in one spot for reference. These will be quick and easy and will get you through 95% of the encounters fine. I'll just start with the normal dungeons and add heroic modes as I get comfortable running them myself.
